Drainfield Installation
Drainfield and Leach Field Installation in Ocala
The drainfield, also called the leach field or soil absorption field, is where treated effluent finally disperses into the ground. It is the part of the system that fails most often when it is undersized or set in the wrong soil, so Ansleydesigns builds it to the perc rate, not to a guess. We install both gravel trench fields and gravelless plastic chamber systems across Ocala and Marion County.
Why Sizing and Soil Come First
- Perc rate rules. How fast water moves through your soil sets the square footage of field the county will permit. A tight soil near 34471 needs more field than sandy ground out toward Reddick.
- Vertical separation. You need about four feet of separation to the seasonal high water table or bedrock. Where that is short, we design a mound or pressure dosed field instead.
- Even distribution. A level distribution box splits flow across the laterals so one trench does not flood while the rest sit dry.
Our Process
We evaluate the soil, size the field, and lay washed drainfield gravel or plastic leaching chambers over a prepared trench bottom, wrap it in non woven geotextile fabric, and set perforated PVC to spread the effluent. Then we backfill and reseed so the yard along SE Maricamp Road recovers by the next season.
